London Gatwick – The closest & most convenient airport

Dover and the nearby town of Folkestone are the nearest ports for car ferries, hover craft and the channel tunnel.

By Road

From Dover/ Folkestone take the A20/M20 towards London then the M26 onto the M25. Take the M25 west towards Gatwick airport then the M23 south to Gatwick and Brighton. Journey time about 2 hours

By Rail or Intercontinental Coach

Most services go to central London. From Victoria Station take the train or bus as for arrival by air.

How to get to your family

  • As soon as possible write, phone or email your family to tell them when you expect to arrive, or send an Email via Olivet.
  • Your flight or ferry details are helpful. You must tell them when you are arriving or they may not be at home to welcome you.
  • If you are coming by train, look at the address and go to Brighton, Hove or Portslade station.
  • If you are coming by bus it will take you to the centre of Brighton.
  • Take a taxi to your host family
  • Your family will help you get to Olivet by 8.30 a.m. the next Monday morning.
