Under 18s

Olivet primarily caters for students over 18 years old. However, students over 16 are welcome to attend the school. it is very important that parents and guardians considering giving consent for students under 18 to attend Olivet should be satisfied that the students are sufficiently emotionally mature and able to act responsibly during their stay at our school

Olivet has a responsibility to provide a safe & healthy learning environment for all our students and staff but especially for students under the age of 18 and vulnerable adults. It should be noted that:

  • Olivet students are not supervised outside of class time
  • students aged 16 and 17 will study in classes with adults
  • students will travel to and from school unsupervised
  • students will be unsupervised outside lesson times and the time spent at homestay

Parental Agreement

parents/guardian of students aged under 18 are required to sign a ‘Parental Consent’ confirming that they understand the terms and conditions under which their child will be accepted at Olivet

In the case of students under 18, we require that they stay in homestay accommodation. Alternative arrangements, such as staying with a family friend or relative, will be accepted provided we have written confirmation of the arrangements from the parents, including the full address and contact telephone number at the time of the enrolment.
